I created a photo-story of my brother, my sister, and my own journey through the Cu Chi tunnels outside of Saigon. Even though the pictures tell the story of modern day tourists visiting Cu Chi, the text below the pictures tells the story of Vietnamese freshly entering the Viet Cong and the National Liberation Front. The Cu Chi tunnels were a product of the industriousness of the Viet Cong. They built these tunnels in the land around Saigon. These tunnels were a prominent part of the Tet Offensive of 1968. According to my interview with Dui Do, the Viet Cong entered Saigon secretly through the tunnels. The Americans' attempts to infiltrate the tunnels failed because of the booby traps that the Viet Cong set.
